NOTTINGHAMSHIRE SCHOOLS COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY 2020

AT BERRY HILL PARK, MANSFIELD on Saturday 1ST February 2020.

Organised by members of the Nottinghamshire Schools Committee.

The following races will be held.

10.00am Year 8/9 Girls 3,500m.

10.20am Year 5/6 Girls 1,700m.

10.35am Year 8/9 Boys 4,500m.

10.36am (one minute later) Years 12/13 Girls 4,500m.

10.55am Year 5/6 Boys 1,700m.

11.10am Years 12/13 Boys 7,200m.

11.30am Year 7 Girls 2,500m.

11.45am Year 7 Boys 3,500m.

12 noon Year 10/11 Girls 4,000m.

12.20pm Year 10/11 Boys 5,900m.

All distances are approximate. Ages are taken as at 1.09.2019.

Each District can run up to 12 athletes with the first 6 counting for the area team awards.

Each District can also run a Championship School from their area with 6 to run and 4 to count for team Awards. An athlete can therefore count and win medals in both competitions.

The County team will be selected from this competition with the exception of year 5/6 & 7 pupils (these age groups do not compete at this level), to represent Nottinghamshire Schools in the ESAA National Schools Championships which this year are to be held at the Sefton Park, Liverpool on Saturday 14th March 2020. Please ensure if you are selected that YOU ARE AVAILABLE ON THIS DATE. (The team will travel together on the day)

Selection letters will be given out at the end of each race and MUST be returned to Mr C Ballard at South Nottinghamshire Academy, Cropwell Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent. Nottingham. NG12 2FQ by the given date, failure to do this will mean non-selection.

Note there will be an entry fee payable by each athlete; details will be in the selection letter.
